BEGINNING SOLARPLATE ETCHING
Turn those photos into artistic masterpieces!  Learn how take a photo you have taken and turn it into a fine art etching.  You will learn the solarplate process and how to put the artist's "hand" into your image.

    1. Yes, Aine - it is also known by the brand name Vyco, a table cover for drawing boards traditionally. It is thin and cream on one side and green on the other. It carves with lino tools but because it is thin, it wants an image with lots of lines and no big open areas. An advantage is is comes in large sizes. You can cut it with a scissors so you can easily make shapes and stencils from it. The last piece I purchased was from Daniel Smith. Here is a link http://www.danielsmith.com/Item--i-325-050-001
